I go by the name Elise Morgan. I grew up in Atlanta, shaped by two very different but equally powerful influences. My mum, an intuitive and resilient African American woman, taught me how to trust my instincts. My daddy, steady and disciplined, believed in hard work and showing up no matter how you feel. Between the two of them, I learned both strength and softness.

I studied Communications and Media Studies, which slowly led me into the world of freelance work. Today, I work in lifestyle branding and digital strategy, and alongside that, I’m also involved in my boyfriend’s events-based startup, where we organize weddings and private parties. Honestly, this has been one of the biggest learning experiences of my life.

As I mentioned before, I don’t believe in presenting a “finished” version of myself. I’m still learning, still evolving, still figuring things out as I go. Writing is how I slow down, untangle my thoughts, and make sense of those messy moments that don’t always look perfect.
